Website Strategy & Manufacturing Awards Mark A Successful 2015

Alongside its on-going commitment to product development and range extension, Dayco continues to invest in its internal infrastructure necessary to ensure that as one of the world’s leading power transmission manufacturers, it is also providing its customers with the comprehensive support they need to grow their businesses.

In the current, super-fast Internet era, one of the most important elements within its infrastructure is the company’s website strategy, as it is via this platform that many customers and potential customers interact with the business.

As a result, Dayco has launched its next-generation website strategy, which means that all Dayco websites, including the Intranet, catalogues, supplier sites and corporate site, Dayco.com, have been completely redesigned with a modern, consistent design that represents the strength of the global Dayco brand.

“Our web presence continues to be one of the most important means of communicating our marketing plans, promoting Dayco’s values and our corporate image, while developing a robust business strategy for target markets,” said chief executive officer (CEO), John Bohenick.

“With the launch of our new websites, Dayco now operates an online strategy that is better aligned with our overall business development objectives. We will continue to invest in our global website strategy to ensure we’re efficiently delivering the information our customers need. Our redesigned web presence only reiterates our drive to innovate and serve our global customer base.”

To view the new sites, visit Dayco.com, as well as the associated aftermarket catalogues and sites, such as DaycoProducts.com and DaycoAftermarket.com.

Striking Silver and Gold

Another notable development that further underpins Dayco’s technical prowess is the announcement that its manufacturing plant in Ivrea, Italy, has been awarded Gold Supplier Certification as part of Caterpillar’s Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP). This award recognises suppliers that have achieved Caterpillar Quality Management System supplier certification, which includes suppliers’ commitment to providing exceptional service, quality and delivery performance on an on-going basis.

"Dayco is proud to work closely with Caterpillar in helping them continue to be successful as a well-respected global producer of industrial machinery and engines,” said Dayco CEO, John Bohenick. “Our associates at all facilities worldwide possess a deep-seated commitment to customer success and improving how people live and work. We thank Caterpillar for recognising our ability to meet and exceed their customer satisfaction expectations.”

Through demonstrated results, Dayco has exhibited excellent process control, shown a desire for on-going continuous improvement and has provided quality product to their Caterpillar customers, according to Caterpillar. Dayco supplies both belt tensioners and idler pulleys to Caterpillar for its 1100 and 1200 series engines, along with industry-leading technical and sales support.

“Caterpillar continues to be a valuable customer for Dayco in the industrial market and has been for more than 30 years,” said Paul DiLisio, Senior Vice President of Automotive and Industrial OE Sales. “Our associates understand and value, the power of building things to last, which is evident in our products and our customer relationships.”

Opened in 1999, the Dayco plant in Ivrea manufactures a wide range of belt tensioners, idler pulleys and dampers for use in both automotive and industrial applications. More than 500 associates work at the site, which also houses research and development capabilities.

This latest accolade follows the Silver Supplier Certification from Caterpillar, which was awarded to the Dayco belt tensioner and idler pulley manufacturing facility in Wujiang, China, in June.

All Dayco components, whether destined for OE or aftermarket, are manufactured to the same exacting standards, so technicians fitting Dayco can be assured of OE quality and pedigree across the range.
